Turmeric Golden Milk Recipe with fresh turmeric root

By now you’ve likely heard about the many healing benefits of Turmeric (or curcumin). Golden Milk is a simple way to add this potent anti-inflammatory to your diet.

Inspired by countless recipes on Social Media - plus a few tweaks from our local farmers market. Each ingredient has health benefits - so don't leave them out. 
 
While a latte a day may not be enough to reap all the health benefits Turmeric has to offer – you'll love its soothing and grounding effect.

Turmeric also has an amazing effect on your skin. It helps reduce skin inflammation and can help reduce pigmentation, even out skin tone and increases the glow and luster of your skin.  Find it in Aloha Youth Serum and Olena Turmeric Beauty Oil.

GOLDEN MILK LATTE

INGREDIENTS: Serves one

  • 1-1½ cups unsweetened almond milk 
  • 1 tsp finely chopped turmeric (or 1/4 - 1 tsp ground turmeric)
  • 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
  • 2 tsp coconut oil 
  • ⅛-¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ⅛  tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1–1½ teaspoons maple syrup (optional*)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Heat milk over medium heat until just simmering
  2. Add remaining ingredients to a high-powered blender.
  3. Pour in hot milk and blend on high until mixed well.
  4. Serve topped with cinnamon if desired.
