Earthwise Beauty’s Cistus And Moonlight Face Mist is a powerfully effective combination of Cistus (rock rose) hydrosol with a touch of cold-press organic whole-leaf aloe juice to help hydrate, tone and refresh your skin. Cooling and refreshing on your skin, it absorbs quickly minimizing the appearance of pores, soothing irritation and amplifying the effectiveness of your serums and face creams.
Cistus is a variety of rock rose that grows prolifically in the wild in Spain and Portugal. Hand harvested by a Portuguese artisan distiller, it is then distilled to produce a healing, moisturizing and uplifting “Portuguese beauty water”. To amplify its healing properties, the mist is infused overnight and under the full moon with various floral and gem essences leaving you feeling calm, composed and grounded.
Use it after cleansing to help any subsequent products in your skin care routine penetrates even deeper.
Mist over freshly cleansed skin morning and night, then follow with your moisturizer of choice. Alternately, the mist may be applied on a cotton round for wiping the face to lightly cleanse and refresh.
If you would like to attune to the vibrational healing elements from the flower and gem essences, spray above your head 3 to 4 times a day and meditate for a moment, if time allows. Shake periodically to remix. Store away from direct light exposure.

Do I need an additional face moisturizer? We generally suggest using a water or aloe-based serum like Nap in the Meadow, as your first hydrating step. Most skin types will benefit from following immediately with a moisturizer, face oil, or face balm for extra hydration.
What is the difference between a face oil and a face serum? Official answer from Earthwise Beauty. "The word "serum" is usually used to describe a wide range of products that have a higher ratio of active ingredients, and are usually not complete—meaning they are heavier on the water phase or the oil phase, but not both. We generally suggest using a water- or aloe-based serum, such as Nap in the Meadow, as your first hydrating step, and then following up with more emollient products as needed. If you prefer to use fewer products, though, you can also skip the serum and use a complete moisturizer as the first step of your routine."
