For all skin types, especially normal, combination, and dry skinEarthwise Beauty Magical Babassu face oil works its magic leaving your face feeling softer and smoother with every drop. It's a medium weight moisturizer for dry skin that absorbs quickly without feeling heavy or greasy— perfect for sensitive skin or drying winter weather. It works quickly to relieve dryness, soften fine lines, calm redness and relieve itching and discomfort.
Shake periodically to remix. Massage a few drops or more into freshly cleansed, moist skin day and night. Use alone or over a facial oil primer—an aloe-based primer will merge with the oil and facilitate its absorption. Use more if you feel drier and less if your skin is moderately dry (oily zones can be omitted entirely). This serum can be used on the face, neck, décolleté, and under eyes.
The consistency of Magical Babassu will range from almost liquid to semi-solid depending on your ambient temperature. Store away from direct light exposure to protect the unrefined oils from light.

Do I need an additional face moisturizer? We generally suggest using a water or aloe-based serum like Nap in the Meadow, as your first hydrating step. Most skin types will benefit from following immediately with a moisturizer, face oil, or face balm for extra hydration. If your skin is extremely dry, you may benefit from adding a rich face cream or face balm to seal in moisture.
What is the difference between a face oil and a face serum? Official answer from Earthwise Beauty. "The word "serum" is usually used to describe a wide range of products that have a higher ratio of active ingredients, and are usually not complete—meaning they are heavier on the water phase or the oil phase, but not both. We generally suggest using a water- or aloe-based serum, such as Nap in the Meadow, as your first hydrating step, and then following up with more emollient products as needed. If you prefer to use fewer products, though, you can also skip the serum and use a complete moisturizer as the first step of your routine."
