Do the tubes Leach BPA into the balm? No. Hurraw is required to use FDA approved plastic for cosmetics: a clean, non leaching plastic #5.

Are the tubes made with Post Consumer Recyled Material? Hurraw always uses recycled pellets in their plastic tubes when available (up to 50%), Tubes are still recyclable #5. Currently, they are unable to source enough recycled PCR (post-consumer recycled material) pellet to make all of their tubes. There goal is to reduce our plastic use by 90% in the next five years as PCR material becomes easily attainable for all manufacturers that rely on plastics and that alternative plastic material and technology continues to be developed.
