Does this dry shampoo have benzene?

No. Our dry shampoo is benzene free and made with natural and organic ingredients.

Does dry shampoo actually clean your hair? No. Dry shampoo is not intended to replace shampoo, just to keep your hair from looking greasy and flat in between washings.

Is it OK to use dry shampoo regularly? The pros recommend using dry shampoo no more than two days in a row. Think of dry shampoo as another styling product like gel or hairspray, which eventually needs to be washed out to keep your hair and scalp healthy.

Is dry shampoo bad for your hair? No. Dry shampoo is safe to use weekly, but you need to use it properly. Dry shampoo is NOT a replacement for actual shampoo and conditioner. Rather dry shampoo is a temporary fix for bad hair days. Applied sparingly to hair strands - it absorbs excess oil and provides some volume. It’s important to regularly wash your hair to remove any build-up that could eventually clog pores or damage hair follicles. Even when brushed out, some of the powder will remain on your hair strands and scalp. If you continue to use dry shampoo for several days in a row, those left over powder particles, air pollutants, and chemicals from other hair products will begin to create a buildup on the scalp which can lead to problems like dandruff, hair breakage and possibly hair loss.

Can dry shampoo cause dandruff, hair loss or breakage? There are some common mistakes people make that can lead to dandruff or irritation. We recommend only using a natural dry shampoo when you absolutely need it. If you do not regularly wash your hair and scalp, there will eventually be a heavy buildup of powder, oil and dead skin cells which can lead to clogged pores and irritate your scalp.

Why does my hair look dull and chalky? Using too much product is the #1 mistake people make with dry shampoo. A little sprinkled on the top few inches of your hair is all you need. Apply too much and your hair can look dull and chalky. We recommend starting with just a little and working it through your hair for a minute or two. You can always add more if you feel your hair is still greasy.
