Sweat, heat and the oil in our skin (skincare and makeup) can cause mascara to smudge or transfer to the skin under our eyes. Start with clean lashes and wait at least 10 minutes for any eye creams to absorb fully.
The easiest way to prevent smudging is to use mascara with a slender wand and ONLY apply mascara to the roots. This also helps lashes look thicker. Set your under-eye area with a translucent setting powder—especially if your skin is on the oily side.
