What is floating in my facial mist? Did you notice that our Līhau has a blue/green tint? This is intentional. The green (or blue-ish) ring is actually the blend of essential oils - vetiver, neroli and blue tansy. When you shake it up a bit, it disperses and creates a beautiful experience with every spray. While there are chemicals that could be added to force the ingredients to blend together, Honua prefers to keep the formula more natural. Simply give it a few shakes before using and spritz away. .

What does hydrosol mean? Is hydrosol good for skin? Hydrosol, also known as distillates, flower waters and floral waters), can be distilled from the petals, leaves, bark, stems, roots and other parts of a plant. They are produced during the distillation process that extracts essential oils. During this process the essential oils naturally separate and float to the surface, where they are removed. The remaining water is called a hydrosol. Hydrosols have minute concentrations of the essential oils present, which gives them their fragrant scent. They are great for skin because hydrosol contains therapeutic properties of the plant that are not always present in the essential oil itself.

Where is the sandalwood hydrosol from? Honua uses sustainable Hawaiian sandalwood grown on Hawaii Island.
