Can I use it if I have a breakout?
Yes. You can dry brush your face if you have a mild breakout and congestion. This will help open pores and allow excess sebum to flow naturally from the skin pores, active blood flow to enhance collagen production to heal skin.
Do not use: if your skin has severe pustular activity, cystic acne, significant active lesions, lots of red inflamed skin. It is best to wait until the skin has healed before trying to dry face brush.
Why can't I use my Dry Body Brush on my face? Our facial skin is delicate and using a brush that is too rough will damage the skin. It can cause micro tears in your skin, and also broken capillaries. Over exfoliating the face is also a risk when using something too rough. If you exfoliate too much, you could suffer from peeling skin, sensitivity and inflammation. Face brushing is best done 1-2 times a week, however, depending on your skin type you could require more or less exfoliation.
Can I use it daily? We recommend you dry brush the face only 1-2 times per week. Always brush on dry skin. Follow with a good quality daily moisturiser so that your skin stays looking its best and doesn't dry out. Please note: Over brushing your face may cause dehydration and over stimulation which could lead to break outs.
