WHAT IS IT:
A sculpting hair gel to define curls and shape with a natural looking hold. Ideal for all hair types and textures.
WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The alcohol-free formula, with natural botanical extracts and nourishing plant oils, lets you shape and style without weighting hair down, flaking or feeling sticky. The medium to firm hold makes it ideal for everyday styling. Use for added volume, enhanced shape and perfectly defined curls. Sweet Pea flower extract delivers a delicate, sweet scent.
Take a nickel to quarter-sized squeeze of gel and thoroughly rub into damp hair. To enhance curl definition, simply scrunch dry while using a diffuser attachment on your blow dryer.
Styling Tip: For more support and volume, apply onto damp hair, style and let dry naturally. Finish with Sweet Pea Hairspray for extra firm hold.
How do you use hair gel? Hair gel is designed to create movement and hold hair in place. It can also be used to slick hair back or control flyaway pieces. To use, we recommend rubbing the gel between your palms to thin it out. This will make it easier to distribute it evenly throughout your hair. Apply the gel to the ends of your curls. Scrunch the gel upwards into your curls. Allow to hair to air dry or use a diffuser. If hair feels to stiff – simply scrunch to soften.
I notice some of your ingredients appear to be the same on two different products, what gives? Official answer from Carina Organics. Great question. Yes, the ingredients are identical on some of our products, but it is the quantity or concentration of ingredients that go into each product that differ. There is a percentage variance within the formulas that give the ingredient list its order. Most of the variances are not large enough to move the ingredient placing in the list, so it remains in the same spot. This gives the appearance that the formulations are identical. However, because the amounts of the ingredients are different, the formulas themselves are actually quite different and cater to an individual purpose.
Are Carina Organics products safe to use on children? Official answer from Carina Organics. Yes, on newborns and infants as well. However, regardless of age, we recommend that a spot test be done on a small area of the skin, such as the inside of the arm, for a couple of minutes. This will help to see if the user is allergic to any of the ingredients in the product. If no reaction occurs, then apply more of the product to a larger area. Repeat this procedure until you are confident that the entire area will not be irritated.
Does Carina Organics use sustainably sourced palm oil? Carina Organics has recently reformulated to reduce the amount of palm oil in their products. Some products do still contain glycerine for its moisturizing properties which is extracted from sustainably sourced palm oil. Palm oil is 100% organic and sourced from Brazil - a non-native orangutan habitat. Official answer from Carina Organics: Our suppliers are all members of the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), the leading global organization developing and implementing global standards for sustainable palm oil production. We have also taken the initiative to reduce the amount of palm oil in our products in exchange for organic coconut oil. We strive to create the most ethical formulas possible, and will continue to do so, as this is a cornerstone of our philosophy and what Carina was created to provide.
Is Carina Organics Cruelty Free? Do you test on animals? No. Carina Organics never has and we never will. As with all brands we stock - Carina Organics is adamantly opposed to animal testing and all of their products are 100% cruelty free.
