Is Mokosh Elderberry & Chia seed serum good for acne prone skin? Yes. This blend is specially formulated for oily and combination skin. It absorbs quickly and may help calm redness and normalize sebum while keeping skin soft and supple. For oily and acne-prone skin the Elderberry & Chia Seed Beauty Serum acts as a stand-alone moisturizer. It is enriched for linoleic acid which has been shown to reduce the size of microcomedones, and helps restore the skin barrier.

Mokosh founder Marion O’Leary explains “this blend is both non-comedogenic and beneficial when used sparingly (only a few drops is needed to moisturize the whole face), and when applied in a very thin layer over the skin. This is best achieved by applying our Pure Hydrosol Toner first, which allows dilution of the oil into a thin layer. It sinks readily into the skin helping to form a barrier against the environment.”

Does it leave an oily residue? No. This is a lightweight oil and absorbs quickly with no greasy residue. Apply sparingly on light moist skin which allows it to spread thinly.

Is the packaging recyclable? Yes. All Mokosh organic skin care products are packaged in recyclable glass and paper. Because most Mokosh products are water free (highly concentrated) and multi-tasking you will ultimately use less which also results in less packaging waste. Plastic or aluminum lids and pumps are used to ensure products don't leak. Unfortunately compostable lids are not yet available.
